Litigation Costs?

I have court hearing at the end of August against Barclays. I am in the process of sending a nudge letter to try and get them to pay up early. I read on the consumer action group that someone sent a similar letter and demanded litigation costs be paid to them.

Is it feasible to ask for these costs from Barclays and how would you work how much to ask for? It has confused me a little. Hope you can help. Cheers
