  • Morning all, another hot and sunny day here so I've got going early and completely cleared and cleaned the kitchen, including the hob which is a wotname to dismantle and put back, howsumever, it's done now and looks much better. Washing in the machine as we speak, housework done downstairs and am just about to change the beds and do upstairs before it gets any warmer.

DD arrived safely in Zambia and we got a text in the afternoon saying the camp was up, she was having coffee and the kids were in the market buying supper for the group. She's so very happy to be back in Africa albeit a new country and is now looking forward to the adventure.

Have yourselves a really lovely day, HILLY and MOLLY thinking of you, sending you hugs(even in this heat) and good happy thoughts hoping things are improving for you both, Love Lyn xxx.

    Good morning all

Dh in work, kids dispatched to school. Dd has gone to Thorpe park with the school. Ds2 wasn't happy to go to school today and was having a meltdown in the car when we got to school. I happened to mention in passing about going to the farm on the weekend. So now he thinks he's going to the farm. We are going on Sunday. It will be a long week.

Have my smear test this morning. Yuk. Hate it. But it must be done. Also need to pick up bloods forms as when I turned 40 I got a letter saying I can have an mot! So may as well. I feel fit and healthy (apart from overweight) but better to get everything checked out.

Not sure what I'm going to have for lunch. Freezer is full so stuff from the freezer for dinner.

I've got a meeting with the local autism group this evening.

Right, had better go and hang some washing on the line.

Congratulations on the min Redruby xxx

    Love, hugs and spoons xxxx

    Good Morning,

Red Ruby, congratulations! I hope you have a good day in your new job position.

Lynn, I wish I had got up earlier to do household chores, as it is feeling very warm already and I still have the kitchen to do, plus a pile of ironing.

Dumpling, good luck at the surgery. Well done on losing weight, I have to go to the doctor in July and I have put on weight, so not looking forward to it.

It is a beautiful day though, I will be out later to get my vitamin d top up to see me through autumn and winter.

I don't knit now due to fibromyalgia but I used to enjoy doing moss stitch, and it looks so pretty. I also used to enjoy doing cable stitch too.

Plans for today are to tackle the washing and ironing piles and order my neice's birthday present.

    Take care all.

  • PEONY we have a built in alarm clock, the Lurcha seems to 'discover' us, apparently new every day, at something like 5.30 and comes up and jumps on us and gives us such an enthusiastic greeting with much licking and tail wagging that there's no going back to sleep after that!!! Funny he stays snug in his bed in the winter though and I sometimes have to encourage him up to go for a walkies then isn't it???

    Good Morning everybody,

Yay we have internet again!:j After 3 weeks without due to our move its been activated today thank goodness.I hope everyone is doing ok as I think I've missed too much to catch up.Moving has been stressful but we just about fit all the furniture in,but there are still loads of boxes in the garage. The house we are in is just down the road from the old, which really helped with moving all our stuff-still took 2 days though. There are a few annoying things about it but its only for 6 months and then we have to do it all again-must be mad;),the main thing is the lack of sockets. Our old house being a new build had ample. The kitchen is really dark too,you need a light on all the time so not very :money:

We have hit a snag with the cottage we are buying, the people selling it don't actually have the legal right to,I think it's their Mums and they don't have power of attorney yet so that is going to hold it up for another couple of weeks yet :(.DH wanted to get cracking on the renovation while the weather is good,ah well we'll just have to wait.

DS2 isn't at work,he went to a BBq on Saturday and think he's got food poisoning, feeling very rough atm.

Redruby, congratulations on the new job, nice pay rise too:j
Right better get on and do some change of addresses etc now I'm online again, you don't realise till you haven't got it how much you need it these days,& I've certainly missed catching up with you all on the Daily:D xx

  • Lovely day here after a grey and wet Sunday, so needless to say we didn't get the car boot done :(

I have done all of the washing this morning and it is on the line .

The kids had their own BBQ while we were out on Saturday night and DD's BF sat on a pot of BBQ sauce, but I managed to get it out using my trusty jollop that does just about everything :)

Congratulations on the job Redruby:T I hope today goes well :T

Off to potter in the garden and see if there is anything ready to pick, plus I want to sow some more lettuce

    BFN x

    Morning all,
Woke up this morning in the middle of an anxiety attack which has never happened before - very unsettling.
Hubby has those but they usually are triggered by pain. He's had several whilst he has been recovering from surgery. I usually keep a paper bag in the house for him to breath in and out of. Medically they call it hyperventilation. Usually I can tell if one is coming on which is enough for me to tell him to concentrate on his breathing and to cup his hands over his nose and mouth and it usually does the trick.

Talking about hubby he's finally back driving again. Hospital didn't give him a time frame, they just advised him that he could drive when he he could do an emergency stop..... So he took the car round the block last night. He's got a physio appointment tonight. Its a couple of roads away so he's taking the car.

Plenty of housework to do but i'll do it when he's gone to physio I think.

Beef for tea tonight. I'll try not to burn it.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

Hey ho first day done - I was very clear that I was not going to be able to clear the 10 week backlog of work in my first morning back, my boss kindly gave the member of staff temporarily employed to cover my job, a list of tasks for them to do to help him out - great....... Nothing done of mine....

    Redruby congrats on the promotion.:T

I think I've overdone it today; Jessie Lab went home this morning, so I spent an age Dys0ning up black dog hair; then made a quiche (grating the cheese nearly killed my poor hands) and then mowed the back lawn and trimmed back the very unruly rosemary bush. Unfortunately, I feel quite dizzy and weak now - hope it passes before Mr LW gets home, or he'll tell me off for using up too many spoons.

Got the Hairy Hooligans arriving tomorrow.

Thanks Judi I will try the cupped hands thing if it happens again, but it hope it doesn't! I had some lavender oil in my bedside table which I find soothing so I lay there sniffing it for a good while this morning. I hope your hubby's physio goes well today.
I did drag DD out of the house to the pet shop and all around the charity shops (she wasn't amused) and got myself a lovely winter skirt for £2. Bless her though because even after that she still did the hoovering for me when we got home :) x
