Ombudsman shared my inormation without my concent

Hi
I wonder if somebody will be able to help me
I had to submit an appeal to the Ombusdman regarding my complaint. It was an appeal after the fist stage Ombudsman did not uphold it.
I had to flee a domestic violence so I phoned Ombudsman to ask them to not post any letters to my old address but I will provide my new address soon. They also said that they will chase my complaint as my situation was urgent.
Today I got some letters from my ex, and there was a letter from my former debt management company ( I stop dealing with them about a year ago), forwarding me the reply from the Ombudsman regarding my complaint!
I need to add that this complaint I submitted myself. The complaint was rejected BUT why they posted it to the debt management company who does not have anything to do it with it? If I won they would probably want me to give them some percentage of my win for NOTHING. The debt management company asking me to reject the decision....I even do not have words how to describe it.
What I can see the ombudsman shared my info with somebody by mistake but it was very wrong of them and the debt management company just took it without going into details why they got the letter and what was happening.
What shall I do? My initial reaction was to write a mean letter to Ombudsman.
Please help
Thank you

I'd just forget about it if I were you, you won't get any money from making a complaint..0

Is the debt an IVA? With some type of debt management solutions, whilst you make the complaint, the party responsible is the one running the debt management. i.e. they are the owner of the complaint. So, the response would go to them.
Another thing could be that if you never gave the FOS your new address, then they may have given the debt company the letter to pass on to you. Typically, this would be in a sealed envelope. It is possible the debt company opened this in error.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
See http://www.fos.org.uk/publications/factsheets/complaints-about-our-service.pdf
In the end, the (FOS?) will tell you its up to them how, where and when they communicate with you.
As a tip for other complainers, don't give your postal address when you can deal with it by email and secure message.0 -
Was the FOS letter addressed to the debt management company?
It might be an idea to let FOS know. They might be able to explain why this happened.0 -
If you had to get away because of violence I would definitely write to FOS and tell them what has happened.
Also have a look here. Although this relates to what FOS awards against firms they do tend to use it as a guideline if they mess up.0
