That's interesting because I have fibro. as well. I wonder if it's something to do with the condition which makes us more susceptible?0 -
Me too, I hate hate the hot weather. As far as I am concerned its been hot since April this year.
As a gardener I keep a general record of the weather and according to my notes last year the beginning of September is the first dark'ish morning of Autumn.0 -
Me too, I hate hot sunny days. I hide in the shade, even with factor 50 sun lotion and long sleeves I start to turn pink after a few minutes. If I don't wear sunglasses I get a pounding headache, though I think part of it is caused by squinting, lol. I also start feeling really worn out and dizzy.
I grow veg and would love to be one of those people who potters in the garden all day long
but I have to get things done either very early or very late in the day.
Our holidays are always in the autumn, though we went to Cornwall for a few days a couple of weeks ago, it was really hot. I spent the whole time searching for shade and thinking "this is why I don't go away in the summer....."Bulletproof0 -
I love summer, the hotter the better as long as not real humid which I hate. I don't sunbathe tho and wear sunscreen. Also avoid being out Noon-around 4pm if I can unless in shade.
Had sunstroke twice in teens, once in New Forest once in Portugal. Collapsed both times, came round with pounding headache, nausea, shivery, sweaty, felt terrible

I now think the problem was due to withdrawal effects of some painkillers, and it was probably just exacerbated by the sun. I couldn't take any Sunday due to driving, then it hit me in the park.
Woke up yesterday without taking any and I could barely walk. Took some and within 15 mins I was OK!0 -
