aware of invoice that was sent to previous address

Hi,
I got an invoice (UKPC) to pay the charge of £60 for parking longer than permitted. Received the photo of my car entering and leaving the car park with the time.
I read some of the threads about parking invoice and saw advice to not pay but not to ignore either. I am in limbo as the invoice was sent to my previous address while I was in the process of changing addresses with DVLA. Can I ignore it?
Grateful for any info who had come across similar situation or knows anything about it.

depends on your location in the uk, which you havent mentioned
please read the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of this forum, it tells you all you need to know0 -
As long as it's not Scotland or NI, you should appeal in the usual way, and give them the new address of the keeper (not the driver). Hoping it goes away just because you are at a different address is a bit of a gamble, as they could ultimately take you to court and win by default (as you won't be aware, since the correspondence will go to the wrong address), resulting in an awful lot of hassle for you to get it reversed.
UKPC aren't known to do court, but they have 6 years to grow some b***s and start doing so.0 -
Thank you The Slithy Tove for making it more clear what may happen if I stay unaware of the letter. I will try to challenge them following the Sticky Thread0

Yep just send the first template appeal, and add a bit about your new address and to state that replies need to come to you at the new address and if they ignore that, you will report them to the BPA.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
