That was quick Savvy!;):cool: No, you've got me onto this now (or I've got me onto this:rotfl:) and just had to come back to say what I'm saying and then call it a night.
I hear swearing more clearly sometimes when it is 'censored'. Now I'm getting old (not that old:eek:) and my hearing sometimes doesn't hear things when indistinct in the headphones. So, sometimes, if I want to hear what they are saying, I put the 'edited' (or changed) version on. Then I know - or feel I know - every single time they say something:D:D.
It can be a lot more exciting too because of it's taboo and forbidden nature that it has in the 'censored' version - not that it really censors anything.
They also cut out a lot of non-swearing sometimes - I did not know this at the start - words such as "weed" and "gun". I sometimes like the censored versions there, as they always make it seem a lot worse lyrics than it is. The editing makes the songs so much more sexually explicit in the censored lyrics there and more exciting!:D:rotfl::rotfl: Sometimes - we get the original and oh so wish it really was that lyric!:rotfl:
Apparently, we're supposed to be shocked if we hear the original, after having become used to the cotton-wool over our ears when hearing it on the radio several times. I've never been shocked by any original unedited lyrics but, tell you, if anything, I have been shocked sometimes by how much more mild the original song turned out to be compared to what was suggested on the radio! The radio versions are, supposedly, satinised versions. But not to me - dear...those radio versions, they're so explicitly extreme:eek:! So much more impactive and potentially offensive. (I've never yet had one where the language went down in the original version compared to what I'd got from the 'censored' version. Always the 'higher level' words come across the same as that, and the 'less' severe words transformed to the same or up the scale, and the non-swearwords changed to suggesting something well up the scale once again. What you can suggest to me is far worse than anything you could ever say:eek::o:eek::rotfl:.) But, yes, if I want to hear anything is there - the edited version and I won't miss it!
See you laterzzz...!!:rotfl::wave::wave:0 -

I've spent too much time in America and my friend banned me from using the loo in a service station, then she explained why...davemorton wrote: »Or me!!! :A:A:A
