Thanks for testing bexter but I hope you are not £7 down now.

Did you get the B1G2F cheese while you were there that ILTS posted about earlier. :)

    No worries..
    and…
No TS, I left my purse at home in the first shop and at the second (I know the staff there as its in my village) therefore I would have been able to take the chicken if it was 0p, so upon being charged £8, I said, 'Oh dear Val, I forgot my tenner! But I've got £2, so I'll have the skittles' lol
I know about the cheese TS, but I don't eat it, so it'd be a waste; I have told others though as its a great deal.

Aha, so searching for the APG site ("Asda Price") brings up this...

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/10984087/Supermarkets-accused-of-misleading-shoppers-with-fake-special-offers.html

(As if we didn't already know...)

Examples of misleading pricing included Asda increasing the price of a Chicago Town Four Cheese Pizza Two-Pack from £1.50 to £2 as it went into an offer where you could buy two for £3. It went back to £1.50 as the ‘offer’ ended.

:huh:If that's misleading...! How's that "misleading"? Far worse example, to me, is the soft drink bottles going in M from £2.05 bogo'f' (£1.02/£1.03 each) to 3:eek: for £5 (£1.66...each).

...This week in M we have the M Pink Salmon tins (213g) going from £1.15 & Any 2 for £2 to straight £1. In other words, the same price as the offer before (when buying two). Of course, price offer says £1.15 crossed out, £1.00. Buy one of the A own brand in A for APG I think;).

And one of my M stores (store-specific this) has "New lower price" on the Savers Tomato Ketchup of 29p. It's been 29p and with that label on it for nearly a year I think. I think that "New" is becoming a little misleading.

Yes they are in the chilled section and were on an end of aisle in my Sainsburys. If the layout is the same as as my store it was virtually opposite the fresh meat/fish counters. HTH

I love to hear these stories and am getting braver, but still hate when they comment on APG.

Last one rolled her eyes when I asked for a price check on choccies but was ok when she saw the BB date , think she was going to get some for herself Not mega cheap just 50p and nice for xmas hampers
