just been reading about a young girl who was not allowed to go on her school trip as she did not have 100 percent attendance, thats school rules, she took 1 day of in a year for her mums funeral:(:( how awful the teachers should be ashamed of themselves..

I read about that too - ridiculous and callous.

I don't really agree with this 100% attendance award. There are some absences that are unavoidable eg medical appointments. Also do we really want to encourage children to go to school passing around their bugs when they should be at home?

    Morning

Fed up with this heat now, v lucky to be in an office with aircon though. After today I'm off until Tues so I'm pretty much in holiday mode :j

Got some more biscuits this morning, hoping that works, all the maryland ones have been snaffled - at least I know I'm not the only one who's using lots of APGs in there ;)

Bought some whoopsied venison meatballs in Sainsbobs. Came with a sachet of tomato/bolognese sauce. Was worried they might have a very strong gamey flavour but they were delicious

I think it's crazy we've got a economy where everybody's work has been concentrated onto so few people's shoulders that we're reluctant to stay away from work if we have a contagious bug (or we get looked down on).

Instead we're encouraged to come in, struggle at working below our best standard, and spread infection. The financial tail is wagging the health dog here.
