Hi
Today I was surprised to find a Thorntons classics Easter egg in my T. No SEL so I took one to the SS. It was not recognized and the assistant was not about so I took it with the rest of my shopping to a normal till. The lady at the till called a supervisor who let me have it for 50 p. So I asked if I could have some more for the same price, ran back to the shelf and got 3 more. It must be store specific but might be worth checking your Ts. I know it is not 1p but I think it is a good price. Regards
Ruth

Thanks.
That (the first one I've put into bold) appears to be the only good one on there vs M IMO - I'm looking at some of the other prices and going . £11 for 20x440ml Carling?!?:eek::eek: I don't know if the "Clementines or Sweet Easy Peelers" will continue to compare to 99p as I'm not sure what they are comparing to.
That (the second bold) may well be off very soon, as it is now £2.18 in M. I don't think it will work now.
Thanks - it was a useful post to see:T.0 -

Just sent a 29kg food parcel to my ma back home in Wales.
She lives in a little village and the local shop is quite expensive for staples.
Mainly gets bread and milk from there.
500g pasta for £1.50, 500g rice for £1.30, chopped tomatoes 99p a tin etc.!
So I just sent a load of food to her...cost of food...about £1...cost of sending the parcel...£0.
:T:T:T
That is lovely of you xx
Shhh don't tell her how cheap it was!!100 -
What it is, I think, is that I'm having to remember not only the items that are newly going onto offer but also the ones that are now up in price and those that have had further price reductions. I think that's why it seems I've got fewer new items than what I thought.
(It's like revising for an exam twice a week:eek::rotfl::rotfl:. A bit of cramming every Monday and Wednesday - it's hard work!)
If only you knew...(what I have to put up with):D
There's also Meringue Nests back on 2 for £1.50 but they didn't compare vs mbuy last time. There's items that are non-comparable, so I'm thinking about them but they're not going onto any comparison. Hartley's tablet jellies still on 3 for £1 for M, but that is fairly normal pricing, difficulty with mix and matching picking up M's offer and at least one of them appears to have been watered down recently.
There's the odd item that I remembered on seeing it today that 'should' have gone onto the list earlier. There are some Playboy body sprays at 84p in M - but they turn out to be on £1 in A and not on any mbuy giving any possibility of any glitch therefore too dear for 10% off 84p.
I don't know whether I can recall my stories about new offers that are more expensive than last week's. I probably will if I now go and look at the crossed out items. The 2L Tango etc. soft drinks, some of which were picking up M's £2.05 bogo'f' (and I suggested useless anyway as even 10% off £2.05/2 is too high for me) - laugh out loud at the new 'offer'. Any 3 for £5:eek::eek: - still £2.05 individually - thus people now buying 3, thinking they are saving about a quid on the third one. It's a price increase from £1.025 to £1.66666... each. Avoid.
Coca Cola 1.75Ls:( on 2 for £2, except for Coke Zero 1.75L:( on straight £1. Way too expensive and that price is over £1.14 per previous happy 2L version. Just not having any of it.
I had to :rotfl::rotfl: when I saw someone putting 5 Mullers at £3 into their trolley in M. Were 10 for £3 yesterday:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
[Edit: Oh, yeah... Pepsi multipacks that were £2 (8 pack) last time are now £4.39:eek::eek:, I think from memory of course. So don't go trying those (vs M) either.]
New cheaper Morrisons.:)0 -

This is a good one...the Pimms No 1 (1L) that was £10 not that long ago, it went up to £15 "Great value" (causing me quietly to remove it from my list because of how annoyed I was at that huge price increase) - now it is crossed out £15 and current price £12.
Not being called "Great value" anymore but just crossed out £15 and £12 printed as the price.
So, it was Great Value only when it was at it's most expensive.:rotfl::rotfl:

I think I'd be shocked by some of the prices if you told me. I have enough with seeing Pepsi packs at £4.39!:eek::eek::eek:_pale__pale_ :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
£4.39?!? Shocking!
Family member the other day bought something at seventeen pounds! I told them it was 'pretty expensive' at the moment but they still went and bought it anyway:wall:. I looked on msm after they told me they'd bought it and I found was £12 only two weeks ago.
:rotfl:I'm waiting for that to go down to £6 - or onto an mbuy equivalent with glitch possibility - or RTC.
As I've said a small number of times lately, it's clear to me these people (i.e. most people, the normal average member of the public) just have a totally different conception as to what is actually a good price. With me, halve it and then halve the half price and then you might be getting close to my baseline price!:rotfl::rotfl: Most people...their idea of bargains appear to be more than twice as expensive as me.
My family member is the one that would buy something and then return from Morrisons saying that it was "great value":wall::wall:. (I mean that my family member would be saying that (to me), not Morrisons. "Great value?" I would probably blurt out in reply - "Are you aware that, last week, it was a pound cheaper?" Er... No, is the answer. Admit it: No.):rotfl:
It's especially if it's a purchase that people don't make that often. Most people have no clue or idea about anything whatsoever at all. It's true - opinion surveys (not talking just money here) reveal a lack of knowledge on just about everything.
Anyway...next...0 -

I have the packs of 20 pack Walkers at £3:eek: in my M. The 14 packs are on £2. So, no good there as vs £2 for 14 pack is ridiculously high IMO.
