Just sent a 29kg food parcel to my ma back home in Wales.

She lives in a little village and the local shop is quite expensive for staples.

    :o

Mainly gets bread and milk from there.

    500g pasta for £1.50, 500g rice for £1.30, chopped tomatoes 99p a tin etc.!

So I just sent a load of food to her...cost of food...about £1...cost of sending the parcel...£0.

I had a thought about this - I think we are best buying those grapes (apart from the fact Ocado's were way way cheaper recently) in 2s in A as the grapes in M are 400g. So it's comparing (which it shouldn't - and annoys me when they buy only one as M is more expensive on its 400g when one is bought) A's 500g vs M's 400g without weight adjustment against us. (Yet I lose a lot more on wombles, where they get just one and it compares to much more expensive at M.) I had a pack of grapes and the 400g Strawberries compare vs M at £1.50 each the other day.

I think this is duff information (from the OP on 'hotdeals' - Edit: I note they've acknowledged they've made a mistake and asked it for to be deleted). I have the packs of 20 pack Walkers at £3:eek: in my M. The 14 packs are on £2. So, no good there as vs £2 for 14 pack is ridiculously high IMO.
