If I had accepted them yes no prices on the receipt for it but the total was £32.50 on top of my other bits
So definitely new price at PortWhen The Fun Stops Stop0 -
I used this forum years ago to cut my car insurance, house insurance, breakdown service cost, bank account charges, credit card interest, utility bills, mortgage costs, everything I could. Problem is I've nowhere left much to cut. It's not a hobby, it's something I need to do.
I don't understand people who don't feel the need to save money. Everbody I know is feeling the squeeze. Everybody.:(
Its definitely not a hobby for me now, its a way of life. Born out of circumstances and although circumstances are great the now, they might not always be. SO this way of life is how I choose to prepare for it.
Personally I think everyone else is daft for paying whatever a company demands.
Thing is she asked me to tell her but its hopeless0 -
Thank you altojack :A

I've just been out for my first run in months. I think my runkeeper might have been a bit hungover or something- it thinks I did 2 sub 4 minute miles :rotfl: :rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Eyes saga......
It's a good job I went to the eye clinic. I have occular hypertension in both eyes but particularly high in my right one. I already knew the pressure was too high but not that bad :eek:So I've been prescribed beta blocker eye drops (didn't even know there was such a thing) to bring the pressure down. He said it's a good job I didn't wait because sustained pressure that high can cause permanent damage
Ive to back on 8th August as planned when they will check for any damage and review the treatment. I'll have to have my peripheral vision tested again as well. My eyes are still a bit blurry and I'm a bitthat it's not something and nothing like I hoped it was, but at least its being treated and at least shouldn't get worse for now.
Massive thanks to all who encouraged me to go. :T:T I was on the verge of just leaving it until my appointment in a few weeks
Glad you went to the eye hospital FC (sorry, was lurking and had to reply to this) Not sure how high your pressure was or whether you have thick/thin corneas, but untreated high eye pressure can result in irreversible optic nerve damage. I have a problem with narrow angles and high pressure. I've had a few different laser treatments and i've tried many different drops. One of the drops I was on stopped working a few years ago and the pressure went up really high (almost up to 40 in my left eye) and went unchecked for months. In hindsight I should have had my eyes checked sooner, because at the back of my mind I knew something wasn't quite right due to the eye pain I was experiencing in my left eye. As a result I have a tiny bit of nerve damage. It could have been much worse though and I am grateful to the hospital for getting my pressures under control. I also use beta blocker drops now. Good luck for your next appt. Are you booked in for a field test? At the hospital I attend they do regular field tests and they have also started taking pictures of the back of my eyes. They do this for every patient as routine. You will find some very good info on this website http://www.glaucoma-association.com/

Thanks Sally :A
Yes I will be having a field test. I had one at the opticians which thankfully showed no loss of peripheral vision. I'm not sure if the one at hospital will be the same or if it's a more detailed one.
I'm feeling very grateful right now that I have regular eye tests, or the problem wouldn't have been picked up and I'd have put the eye pain down to something else.0 -
