Hi
Would this be a £3.74 ish apg? Help please. tia
I'm trying to prepare a c+c order and came across this on msm
sada ASDA Butcher's Selection Free Range Whole Chicken by Weight (1.2Kg) £5.98
compares to T's EDV Chicken at £2.48
*edit on sada web site shows 4.98If you add the A chicken to your basket and then switch store to T the 1.2kg chicken in your basket switches to 1kg
They might compare based on the £/kg (£4.98v£2.48) or they might exclude because the unit weight on the two products shown are outwith 10%
Best you could hope for is to get an APG for about 55% of the price you pay ....but I don't think they'll compare because MSM doesn't show them as comparing at all
I think this will be excluded as outside of 10% weight range - I'm surprised aau1 that you think it might compare.
I think this won't work - the product at T is a fixed weight product (even though it says "approx.").
I can't see any T price on the A product on msm at all, signed in or out. I have T N/A both in and out. For the OP, is this happening when you put the A product into your basket and then view the basket against T? That does not always replace items with comparable items for the competitor.
Unfortunately, it's not working judging by this - it's giving a suggestion of a 'cheaper' alternative at the competitor. I had Waities appearing last week with 100g Chicken Giblets when I put 1kg+ chickens at A into my msm basket and msm then saying W was over £10 cheaper:rotfl:, wish it would compare like that!
Surprised it's suggested that this should be bought/tried as that's just putting money back with the supermarkets and rewarding them through some promotion (such as the APG) and runs counter to money-saving and winning the supermarket game. It's no good giving them more money and losing.0 -
Calling anyone local to Hastings/St Leonard's. Birds Eye were outside Tescos Churchwood Drive today (top car park) giving out samples and leaflets from 11am today. There are £3 of vouchers in the leaflet, half valid until 20/07 and half from 21/07 to 30/08. THEY WILL BE AT SAINSBURYS TOMORROW if you can get there. Hope this helps someone.I am not young enough to know everything.0

Right, a very slow start to the day for me, still in pjs .
Went back to doc yesterday and have been given more tablets for the cramps in my legs, have to go again tomorrow for more blood tests too grrrrrr.
Been in agony yesterday and today so spending time watching a film or two that I recorded months ago.
I did manage 5 biscuit shops so we are all sorted for quite sometime, we don't tend to eat many of the choccie bar ones.
Dh popped into town then going to morries, he won't get much as he is on foot with a backpack. I keep telling him to get a bike (memories of Mad appear with his carrier bags hanging from his handlebars and the bottles clanking as he peddled/wobbled off down the road)
Right, coffee time for me and maybe try a catchup but I seem to be pages galore behind.
Has the doctor or anyone else mentioned Quinine for the cramps? I suffered terribly a few years back but after drinking tonic water before bed for several weeks the cramps vanished. Apologies if I'm barking up the wrong tree, hope you get answers and relief soon:j:j:j:j0 -

Does the apg pick up morries price for the cookies? Please and Thankyou according to msl one variety is £1 the others don't seem to be stocked:)
Do certain biscuits give a better return then because I only got £1. 83 back from a £3 .49 spend thanks.0 -
well that sunk my ship, I thought it was same as the beef was last time. Many thanks for reply
So if it just goes into the other basket but not showing as replacement that's a goer?
Yes I think so but, even there, you have to watch for the 10% weight range. Msm compares up to half size and double size but APG only compares up to 10%. (Unless it glitches vs Morries, but then that doesn't take pricing from msm.co.uk at all.)
The way I normally do it is by looking at the actual product page and if you see prices for A and the competitor. Though, even there, you then have to flip over to see what the item is at the competitor to whom it is comparing to see if it is within 10% range*. Most products, exact same product, same size/weight, or equivalent own brands i.e. S/P vs Eday Value of same description (e.g. SP Chicken Soup 400g tin) - product at competitor is exactly the same weight - there's no issue but the odd ones, particularly fresh meat and fish, can be potential catch-outs.
*This can be done probably more easily if viewing the baskets side by side on the print basket option (even if you don't actually print the basket out).0 -

Does anyone know how long it takes for CB from COS? I requested £20 the other day but I still haven't got it. It says 'payment requested' on the app. I guess they're not as quick as quidco?0
