I do not upgrade, I simply replace when necessary. My laptop is now 4 years old, well maintained and still going OK, my tab is 3 years old and going fine.
I have a friend who is fascinated by the amount of coupons that I end up with, problem is she calls me an extreme couponer but she does not know the half of it. When I tell her about coupons she complains she does not have the time, I simply tell her that I MAKE time and so could she, she has plenty of time to watch downloaded movies! Anyway, I have never told her about things like the Cravendale coupons, and certainly did not tell her about the F&F glitch, she would have expected me to do both for her!
She is an upgrader, they have all the latest Apple stuff in the house, they are supposedly broke but she got her OH a PS4 for his birthday! She can't afford new tops but bought two the other week.
She was about to spend "just £40" on something last week, I told her I didn't spend that on shopping in a month, then suddenly realised that was true, yet we probably live far better than them. And she simply does not have time to do it!
I was looking for the cheap shower gel in As today, first chance I've had, obviously it was not there. She found a label with 50p on it for one, I said not that one, she thought it was unlikely to be cheaper so I told her one was meant to be 2p and she accused me of going nuts  I hadn't even told her the flavour lol
I have tried and tried again to show people the light. I feel like a religious person sometimes.
Last week friend visiting says she been watching extreme couponers and why would someone want 47 bottles of shampoo?
Me and little miss says why indeed and fall about laughing.
Oh she says I try to explain but then the eyes change. I give up. I have less of a mortgage in twice the price of house. So whos winning this game ?
I am slowing converting other friend whos a single mum x I feel your pain enterprise xx0 -
