Just a quickie.

I was always told the item had to be made for a disabled person only to qualify for VAT back.. not sure how true thsi is though
i was told by one mobility shop i couldnt get vat off a 'two tiered trolley' designed for disabled as able bodied people also bought them.. but then later was told i could..
I hope you can but am guessing as its a mainstrea iten you cant.. please let us know what you discover0 -
You can never get vat back.
The shop can supply some items without VAT, if they are specially adapted for the disabled.
This would not be the case for a 'normal' bike.0 -
A bit long; but there's some information here
In short, the item has to be adapted for a disabled person and not an everyday item that a non-disabled uses. I can't see how the item mentioned in the OP would meet that.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
