Does travel insurance cover bringing car back to uk?

Hi All,

Just after a bit of advice/ opinion on travel insurance/ claim situation.

My mother and grandmother have been on a holiday where they drove to France but during their stay my mother has torn a calf muscle and is in no fit state to drive home. My grandmother can't drive either unfortunately.

Travel insurance people have been pretty good once seeing the doctors report for the injury, are happy to fly them home etc. but there seems to be a lot of umming and ahhing about what to do about getting the car back home.

In my mind I would have thought that would be a necessary part of the travel insurance?

What do you all think?

Do they have breakdown cover? That may include recovery if the policy holder/driver falls ill or is unable to drive.
