A NEW exhibition at Nottingham Contemporary launches with a champagne reception at fashion store Hugo Boss in Bridlesmith Gate, followed by a tour of the gallery.
And we have 10 pairs of tickets to win for this special event.
The exhibition, which opens next Friday, July 18, features the work of Danh Võ, a Vietnamese artist whose work is inspired by his family fleeing the war-torn country for Denmark in 1979.
Incorporating themes of migration, labour and language, it earned him the $100,000 Hugo Boss Prize, a biannual award to recognise the best in contemporary art.
The Nottingham store is sponsoring his exhibition, the first major showing of his work in the UK.
Stephan Born, managing director of Hugo Boss UK, said: “We have a long-standing partnership with the arts and we are delighted to be able to continue this tradition by supporting Võ’s exhibition at Nottingham Contemporary. Given our existing relationship with the artist, this opportunity creates the perfect fit for our arts program and provides a sophisticated connection with our nearby store.”
Post readers have the chance to win 10 pairs of tickets to the champagne reception at the Hugo Boss store on Friday at 4.30pm, followed by a tour of the exhibition by gallery director Alex Farquharson.
The tour will also include an exhibition of watercolours by radical 1930s artist Carol Rama.
Both exhibitions open to the public on Friday at 6.30pm and run until September 28.
