Thanks for the advice. Both loans we were told that we would not be accepted unless we took the insurance. I will try with both and see were I get.

Got anything stronger as that is an unprovable allegation. Most of those fail on that particular point. Although some will go on to succeed on a unrelated point. If you use that reason alone, you will be reliant on some unknown reason being successful.

Both loans very kindly lent us the money for ppi in advance so we paid and still pay interest.

I'm covered by sick pay from work being in an armed force. We didn't want the ppi but we're conned into it. Naive at the time so we didn't know any different.

That is your main complaint reason. Armed forces.

Single Premium also, a loan on the loan to term end with interest, as taff said, and Armed forces as dunstonh said.
  • Hi, sorry for my delayed response, with regards to HFC we wrote to them in 2009 we did not follow up as mentioned in my first post.

Would it be worth writing again or will it just be time barred ? Is it of any benefit it was pre ruling or not ?

Thanks again fir your responses, much helpful

You get 6 months to appeal a decision made by a firm in respect of a complaint. You can try again to see if they will re-open the case (sometimes their admin is not good enough to see you complained before and will treat a second attempt as a new complaint without realising)

If they do link it to the old complaint and they reject it is timebarred then its game over.

I think if you are going to do that, it will be unwise for you to mention that you complained in 2009.

I wont mention it, but assuming HFC would of pit a note on my file anyway ?
