Last month I was awarded, DLA lower rate for mobility and daily living component
Which is £21.55 a week for mobility and £21.55 a week for daily living component. (£43.10 combined)
I got my first months payment last week which was £172.40 (4 weeks benefits)
However, £43.10 a week x 52 = £2241.20 Where as, 12 payments of £172.40 will = £2068.80
Does that mean, I lose £172.40 a year? Or, exactly 1 months payment?
Thanks

DLA is paid every 4 weeks. There are 13 x 4 week periods in a year .(approx). Not 12 as you stated.
You should therefore get 13 x £172.40 in a year. £2241.20 total.0 -
oh ok thanks! i was told it was to be paid on the 7th of each month. and not every 4 weeks. thanks0
