Nectar/Amazon double whammy.

Don't know if anyone else has tried this but I do a LOT of shopping on eBay as I live in a rural area.
I have my PayPal account linked to my Nectar card so earn points on it. I also have a Bank of America/Amazon credit card that is my primary payment for PayPal, it builds up credit on Amazon I also use it for most of my other purchases of course following the golden rule having a direct debit set up to pay the full amount off.
Result, loads of nectar points and a £10 credit on Amazon for every £1000 spent on the card.

How is it a double whammy? You effectively get 1% cashback in Amazon gift certificates on the credit card. You could use a different credit card and get more back, I have an Amex paying 2% at the moment. And that is 2% cash back, not rewards.

Do you get some extra reward (in either netcar points or amazon gc) by using the Amazon card through paypal on ebay?

here's another idea... buy a load of 3V reloadable cards at Tesco. Tesco give 150 clubcard points per £50 spent on vouchers. PLUS you get your credit card points. Then you just buy a load of amazon gift certificates and load them onto your amazon account. Bit of a faff but best way to make amazon work for you

Isn't there a charge for the 3V card?

no charge for buying/using. there are charges for transferring money between different cards or closing them down. best thing to do is buy things using the full amount on them, like amazon vouchers.

I expect it's the Barclaycard replacement for the old Egg Money card, which after some complaining is giving out 2% to customers who demanded it for six months.

it's a gift card that can be used like a debit card. Only online, and some financial institutions are blocked.

I've seen it in Tesco Extras and some Homebases
