Dealing with slugs in my bathroom

I get these in my kitchen most mornings I find slug pellets all around the house and especially around the drains and pipes outside seem to work.
Unfortunately I have an 18 month old son who will try and eat anything he finds whether it's moving or not I've had to fish several snails out of his mouth before. I'm dreading the day I find him with a slug hanging out of his mouth urgh I feel sick just thinking out it!0 -
Have you tried biological control? Keep a few toads in your bathroom. That will keep the slug numbers down."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0

We couldn't have toads or slug pelets unfortunately as the cat would eat them.
I have this weekend filled the gaps round the pipes, we had one slug on monday so far no more.0 -

I saw slug prevention made from sheep's wool on Countryfile on Sunday, a quick search found this:

Don't walk around barefoot at night. I only did that once at our slug-infested rental house
And don't dry your clothes near where they are, otherwise you'll end up having to rewash them.0
