Hello all,
I am starting to get interest in wine investment as i heard that the returns could be more appealing than any financial products.
has anyone some experiences in this sector?
Thanks and regards.

Wine is of course a fairly illiquid investment and its valuation is highly subjective.
Not one for me, I prefer just to drink it.Stephen Covey once said that "when you teach once, you learn twice". That is the primary reason for my participation on the forums as an IFA.
Although I strive to provide accurate information in my posts, there may be the odd time when I fail. Yes I know it's hard to believe but even Your Hero can make mistakes. Apologies in advance.0 -
Unless you know a lot about wine and its value my advice is don't... just don't. The industry is awash with rip offs and scams. Plenty of them on this forum if you have a search.
If you are determined then for starters have a read about what to look out for at these two related sites:

Hi Reaper,
Thanks for your comments. I know something about wine. Then the value i guess will come with a bit of research.
But i have to admit that i am lost with the process of investment.
i will check the two links provided.

I have to say that if you need to ask the question then wine investment isn't the right thing to do. Knowing about wine isn't the same as knowing about wine investment. I like wine but I certainly wouldn't invest in it other than for my own consumption.
If you really think that it is better than financial products then you haven't understood the risks and also don't understand financial products sufficiently as they cover a huge range of options and potential returns. Anyone who is telling you than wine is a better return is probably trying to rip you off as I can't imagine a reputable dealer making such claims.
Wine may be suitable for some people but for a novice investor in wine I'd expect most of the adverts you find are scams or unlikely to provide any returns.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

I would have thought it was actually very liquid...?
To the OP:
A few years ago, one of the candidates on "The Apprentice" wanted to start a fine wines investment fund, backed by Sugar's name. You could see he had some interest, but then backed off.
There's a reason for that. You need to know your stuff here.0
