PPI/CCP claim with no information??

If I cannot remember what products or account number or card numbers I held with each lender/company what is the first steps I do please?

    In the first instance, contact the relevant financial institutions and simply ask them if you had any PPI or CPP policies.

    A more formal enquiry is a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter which will cost you £10 per lender but will net you everything kept on file for you for at least the last six years and (sometimes) longer.

    If neither of these options provides the information and you have no archive of your own, then any complaint will fail.

    Thanks for the reply but for someone like egg.com or goldfish.com I'm not sure who to contact - it's ok I'll work it out but just saying.

    You can find the relevant addresses with a quick Google search. Egg are now Canada Square Operations and Goldfish have been absorbed by Barclaycard.

    Plenty of other guidance at the link I provided earlier.
