Yorkshire Water - Financial Association

Hi All,
Happy Friday! I tried to search for any similar posts but couldn't find anything so please bear with me.
I have just recieved notification that my updated Noddle credit report was ready. Having just viewed this I've noticed that Yorkshire Water have created a financial association between myself and my house mate. I appreciate that we use water before we pay for it, but I wanted to check if this is correct before I dispute it. Would that also mean that if myself or my housemate applies for any credit in the future (single not joint applications) that both of our credit reports would be assessed?
Thanks in advance

Yorkshire Water are currently the only water supplier to report you to the CRAs (but CRAs will no doubt be busting a gut to get the others to do likewise) and as a result it is a problem for residents living in their area of supply.
Living in the same house as someone DOES NOT constitute a financial association (how did they get all your personal details?). Write to them and tell them that there's no financial association and that you'll report them to the Information Commissioners Office is they won't remove it. At the same time, ban them from carrying out a credit check on you. There are no T&Cs for water supply, and while they may be allowed (not sure about this) to report you to the CRAs, they definitely need your permission to carry out a credit check, so withdraw permission or deny permission.
For residents in the Yorkshire Water area it's imperative that you supply the company with the absolute minimum of personal information. Ideally they should know you as "the occupant". Do not, under any circumstances provide your full name or DoB (they'll ask for it "for security purposes").
Remember, it only takes one trivial error on the part of these chumps at the water company, and their partners in crime at the CRAs, to b****cks up your chances of getting a mortgage.0 -
Happened to me I got two associations 1 was with an ex from 6 years ago at a different address.
I phoned them and they have removed them still waiting for them to report to CRA's this month though.-== CREDIT BUILD IN PROCESS 30% COMPLETE ==-
Overdraft - £0 Used/£500 Limit
Vanquis Card - £1000 Limit
Aqua Card - £1200 Limit
Barclaycard Platinum - £2500 Limit
Credit Utilisation 11%/Savings - £18000 -
I've just got off the phone to Yorkshire Water. The CSR seems to think that they only report payment information and that they would not create a financial association and blames Call Credit for interpreting the data, however I'm not sure I quite believe that. Isn't it down to the lender how financial associations are created?
I've never noticed a credit check carried out, just noticed in either 2013 or 2012 that they suddenly started reporting details to CRA's.
