Typical pc world trick to get visitors to their site with non existant items.

They do this all the time.

I hope its fake, totally geek but look a little closer at the specs....

    1.5 mhz Processor speed

Could take a while to load windows!

You can't really judge how fast a computer is purely by looking at its clock speed any more, there are lots of other factors.
    .....

  • Via C7 1.5 isnt very good at all.... it would stuggle to keep up with a P4 let alone a Core2 Duo...

  • that's weak spec ,should be fine for email and browsing (not much else though) but i wouldnt install any security programs on it, they will cripple the the speed. Very basic laptop which is reflected by the price.

Does the 6%quidco apply to all purchases from pc world? i spend silly amounts of with them, would end up saving a lot.

Would this be okay for my mum to surf the internet? Has it got windows? has it got built in wireless?

    Constructive comments only please, lol.

PS, my mum won't be needing it for gaming.

Yep, they've screwed up, should be 1.5GHz processor. Stick another 512MB RAM in there and it'll be a perfectly capable machine for a bit of wordprocessing and Internet use, especially for those with limited cash or the older generation who will just be making light use of it (sorry to anyone offended by this !).
