The hotel thing is a joke - they keep throwing around this €50 million figure - well of course its going to be that high if you charge 2/3 times your normal room rate!

I booked a hotel room for Sat night when the dates were first announced and before the tickets went on sale - £190. Have just checked website and the same rooms are now just over £100. God knows what they went up to in the meantime.

Just glad the whole thing is finally sorted, this on/off situation was beyond a joke.

50 million euros equites to 125 euros spent each for everyone attending.

Might not be that far away when you consider how many were staying over, drinks, soft drinks, 2 or 3 meals, merchandise, etc, in and around dublin over those five nights.

He's starting the tour now in Chicago, according to Independant. And he had the cheek to 'invite' any Irish fans to come and see his show and wave their flags! I'll be looking out for you' he says. :rotfl:
  • Seems Matinee's are OK after all!!! It does make you wonder was it all really about the PR rather then the concerts !!
