    Morning all,

Sorry for yet another absence but in the middle of a fibromyalgia flare.

Nothing exciting happening here! Did manage to put some washing in the machine last night that I will hang out this morning as it should be dry.

I will try and make a meal tonight, haven't been well enough to cook for days, so the grocery budget has taken a hit with buying ready dinners.

Also, got ironing piling up, but will put away unironed and iron it as and when. Hubby asks if I want cleaning lady and ironing lady, but I keep refusing. We already have a gardener twice a month, and I feel bad that I can not keep on top of the house as I am now home all the time. It would also be a big expense that I would feel guilty about.

Hope you all have a nice Friday.

    Peony x

    Morning all :)

Hope you're ok peony. I'm just coming through a flare and it has taken so much out of me :( If a cleaner would take the pressure off, maybe it's worth considering if you could afford it?

I'm planning on doing a bit of baking today. My brood want me to make a tray bake again as they liked the last one. I have a bit of ironing to do but M.I.L, bless her, has really helped this last week.

It's chip shop night tonight so no meals need preparing but I might make up the dough for tomorrow's pizza whilst I'm in the kitchen :)

Have a good day all :)

    Good morning
Just sitting in our conservatry eating a piece of toast, drinking coffee..
Mulling over the day of things to do....
Always the washing, cooking and tidying up.

I shall spend some time crafting. I have a new project. Started yesterday.
I am giving a 2 seater sofa in the conservatory a bit of a jazz up.
I have cut up a recycled pair of lined, cotton curtains and got the sewing machine out. Colours = mid blue and green stripe. A bit seaside/deck chair look I think.
Yesterday, I covered the seat pads and today, i am making some sort of head/back covers. Work in progress.

    sending good wishes...

Thanks Jlhmd, I am ok. Just the continuous stiff neck and what I call fibro head, this for me is the worse as nothing shifts the pain. Sorry to hear that you have been having a bad time with it too, wonder if the weather pressure is making it worse?

With a pinch i guess we could afford a cleaner but knowing me I will feel the need to tidy up before they come! We are hoping to downsize in the near future so this will help.

Good Advice, i like the sound of your new seat covering.

I need to check the weather forecast as it is dull this morning, don't wish to put the washing out if it is going to rain, already had to put this load on twice as I forgot to remove it from the machine!

    Take care all.

    Peony.

    Morning everyone.

It's very hot and sticky here in Glasgow and not too comfortable. I'm off up the road going home, hopefully it'll be less humid at the coast.

Busy couple of weeks behind me now so it's time to rest more. Sore knee didn't like many of the seven different beds I've been in during the last fortnight though the night-time painkillers from the doc have been a godsend.

Sorry to read abut so many have a tough time, I do send up loads of good vibes every day. As for teachers...having been one for many years I was glad to leave it behind. Too much paperwork and too much discipline and control required both lead to not a lot of teaching or learning taking place.

Right, up the A82/83 I go. It's a lovely journey which cheers me up every time.

    Happy Friday folks.

    Morning all,

Hope all the not so well people feel better soon x

Wet and dull here. Supposed to be cleaning but have got caught up with other things.
Not much to report. Went to London last night to collect the moped for DS. I am totally fed up with his and his father moaning. I told them this morning if they can't be nice to each other and come home again and complain to me, I will divorce them!!

Anyway have a good day all. At least its Friday :)

    Hello all

Sorry been mainly lurking. Hope everyone is ok.

Really cold and rainy here in Essex today. I'm not far from Jackie as the crow flies.

For those I don't have on fb, I've got the youngest into his special needs school from September and also he has his professional diagnosis of autism (along with global developmental delay & hypermobility).

Time is whirring along. Can't believe the children break up from school this time next week.

I've slid a bit off the OS wagon but need to get back on, especially with the expensive summer holidays coming up.

Oh yes, saw my husband perform last Monday. He was GOOD! :D

Right, off to do a quick tidy up before the school run

    Love, hugs & spoons xxx

    Afternoon all,

didn't post yesterday as emotionally I didn't feel up to it. Hubby should be more mobile than he is but he's quite happy to sit in his chair watching telly all day. He should be doing leg excercises by now, ive even given him the leaflet but its just there where I left it without being read. He'll be moaning about his mobility next.

I went down to see Mom yesterday. I am finding the distractions from the other residents hard to cope with. They are bored and lonely and want to talk but I'm only there a short time and I want to concentrate on Mom. I wheeled her down into her bedroom in her wheelchair and I told her my news and got a little limited conversation out of her due to her dementia. We talked about her room, or I did. She took a shine to my sunhat and she wore it for a time.

I used to think my Dad dying at 55 was a cruel twist of fate but looking at my Mom, I'm not sure. The women on both my Mom and Dads side live into their 80s but what is the point of that if their quality of life is so poor as my Moms is..... Still, I could 'pull the plug' to end my own life but there is no way I could do it for someone I love.

'Youngest' needs a kick up the backside. He's only just woke up. He was still watching films at 2 this morning. He's got some studying to do. He cant get let loose on a building site until he gets his CSCS pass.

I'm ok, need to spend some time online this afternoon. Ive got some groceries to order. Need to catch up on my banking and write a few emails.

Onwards and forwards (definitely not one step forward and two back)

    have a great day all.

I'm still missing my lovely dog and have a little cry when I come home from anywhere as he's not there to greet me but me and hubby were talking last night and we think in a couple of months we will start looking for a rescue dog as it's just not a home for us without a furry friend. I am home all day and our girls are older now so can help with walking etc.
That's a lovely idea; there are so many dogs languishing in rescue centres, giving one a good home is a wonderful thing to do. You'll never replace Sam of course, but you can fill the dog-shaped hole in your life, if that makes sense.:o

That's just how I'd be. too! I know Mr LW would employ a cleaner if I asked, but frankly, I need someone invading my home like I need a hole in the head! No disrespect to those who do paid cleaning work; I just have a major phobia of having people in my home, and simply wouldn't cope with the accompanying stress.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
