It could be that it had a private numberplate until very recently .....
..... or it is dodgy.0 -
This means that the crappy vehicle checker that you've used is dodgy, not the black 1.4 Polo that is MOT'd to 7th October and taxed to the end of November.
As a privateer, use the official HPI site, the rest aren't worth the money you waste on them.0 -
Got this a few times when we did a vehicle look up on the master cat in my ex works (a motor factors) usually it meant the the buyer of the car when new instructed the dealerhsip to register its registration with a private plate that the buyer had had on retention.
Other times we had this issue the vehicle was a CAT C and the vehicle details were withheld until it had a VIC check or flagged by the DVLA as having being written off and only HPI systems and police could access the information as the data we after were live data.
We also got it on imported vehicles (spanish/japanese) where the keeper registered verry little detail in the V5C application submission and all the DVLA held on the car was make model and color engine size.
Also vehicles that have been given a new registration mark such as this one may have form the DV:A after a private plate is switched to a normal one, details tend not to update for months on the DVLA system.
I would be asking for past reciepts and looking for an old private reg mark, if there was no history nothing, then i would simply pass on it, it the dealers problem untill things are sorted with DVLA and HPI info syncs up.0 -

For a car which is currently being sold,
(a Polo with Reg with the reg mdo4 uzs )
When checking its details on freecarcheck.org
It gives these below details,
Vehicle Identification
Manufacturer: Volkswagen
Model: Not available
Year: Not available
Colour: Not available
Fuel Type: Not available
Engine Size (CC): Not available
VIN: Not available
V5C Issued: Not available
Tax
Tax Status: Not available
Expiry Date: Not available

6 Month Cost: £Not available
12 Month Cost: £Not available
Mostly everything in that cars details is Non available?
Them red parts above usually give numeric values when entering other Reg plates, there are numerical values.
Does that mean it that mdo4 uzs could be dodgy
It is on autotrader,a black golf for £1,195
Volkswagen Polo 1.4 Twist 5dr
