Scottish deposit scheme, what do I expect as a tenant?

I have moved out of old property but LL has verbally accused me of malicious damage despite furniture being very old when I moved in.
Not to get into too much detail but he claims I broke blinds as the wire is jammed and they dont open automatic, these were broken when I moved in to the point that some of the pieces of blind were different lengths, also charging me for a broken toilet seat that was broken the day I moved in, not noticed before as I only noticed the seat not the actual lid portion, he is also charging me for a clean despite rubbish being in drawers when I moved in or under furniture like old underwear, a broken fire alarm, old curtrains, bank statements from old tenant, jacket from old tenant, even wage slips from old tenant.
The only "damage" he can blame me for is the front part of kitchen drawer fell off when using it one day, its just 2 plastic clips holding it in place and one went missing when it fell off, second is washing machine hinge broke with age(15-20 year old machine) the screws are actually rusted on it and he says its a expensive repair.
I know thats a lie as googled part and its £10 to buy and is just held on with 4 screws.
He hasnt given me "costs" yet but when he does I am going to dispute them, but how likely is it he will win considering the furniture was very old when I moved in and I have a independant local charity who took photos before I moved in, a social worker who told me there was a gas leak the day before I moved in and landlord promised a new electric cooker to replace it, I have photos of a clean property when I moved out.

Basics
Landloard is not entitled to betterment.
So the entire value of a 15-20 year old washing machine is roughly current price divided by 20.
As for the rest of it, if the charity have photos of the move in, he is stuffed. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Firstly is your deposit protected? Login to whichever deposit scheme your deposit is being held with (and by law it does have to be protected) and claim the full amount back.
Your LL has to prove that you caused the damage. Was an inventory taken at the start of your tenancy?0 -
I cannot remember about inventory however I think one was done but it was pretty basic i.e not either not listing the full condition or just the brand/type of furniture, as for deposit I thought at the time it was protected as I paid a local chairty X amount per week and had a year to pay it(though LL started getting on my nerves asking about me paying the rest 6 months onwards) and once it was paid they forwarded him the amount and I got a letter from the charity saying LL will protect it and at the time I assumed that was a letter saying it WAS protected but had no other letters since about protection and LL has not mentioned anything about any scheme just mentioning that HE will take money off for damages.0
