I ordered a (popular) CD on 24 June from CD WOW. It is still showing as "pending dispatch"!! I emailed them after a week, no reply. I emailed after 2 weeks saying I want to cancel, no reply. I have been trying to phone them for the last two days but I just keep getting an automated message saying they have a problem with their phones and I should email them!!

Has anyone ordered anything after the 24 June and actually got it?? Anyone got any ideas what I can do? I just want my money back now so I can get it somewhere else :mad:

You are not alone. CD WOW seem to be having horrendous supply problems (some say suppliers are not extending lines of credit following the recent judgement).

I have read of some receiving orders but it appears to be few.

Their legendary customer service has taken a real downtown as well, I'd advise keep trying on the 'phone. If you get no joy then a chargeback in a couple of weeks time may be the way forward.

I ordered Zulu on DVD last Friday (£3.49) that is still saying pending despatch!

Pleased that I spotted this post, at least I am not alone. Have 2 cds been pending depatch for a while now and 1 showing pre release even though it was supposed to be released on 25th June. The link from zappomatic reassures me as I was beginning to suspect ceasing trade after the massive fine. I will wait before placing any more orders though!

I gave up on waiting for an order with them a while back, but found it was simple then to just cancel and go elsewhere.

If there's a communication problem I'd be tempted to send a recorded letter stating you have cancelled the order and expect a refund. Then go somewhere else.

I received a £2 voucher this morning in response to my complaint, so they must be reading their emails. Hmmm, like I'm going to use that and send them more money! :mad: They don't seem to have read the part of my email that I put in capitals about wanting to cancell my order because this email gives me a new expected dispatch date and it's still "pending dispatch" online :rolleyes: This is my last CD WOW order. They might be cheap, but it's not worth the hassle and delays.

I ordered a cd on 6th June, finally cancelled on the 25th as it was still pending dipsatch.
Called them several times, they wouldn't tell me anything, emailed and still nothing. Not even an apology. Appalling service.

I'm still waiting for a couple of CDs ordered last month - The Cribs latest one & Simian Mobile Disco. They've e-mailed me today about the Cribs one saying they hope to despatch it on 23rd July. I enquired about the other and they said something about supply problems.
Looking on the bright side it means they aren't lost in the post...
