Car insurance options?

Options
My partner has passed her driving test so i looked at getting her insured on my car, i contacted eCar to get a quote to add her onto my insurance, i was given a quote way more than expected so i asked if it could be added onto my monthly payment and i was told no as it's down to the finance company.

Do i have any other options?

Is it possible to insure her on my car with another insurer? (essentially one car insured twice by 2 different people)

I guess i could cancel my insurance and start with somewhere else.. but this will have unnecessary costs like admin fee's and lose this years no claims.

Yes you can but you may have issues claiming from both companies if your car is damaged whilst nobody is driving.

Who is liable? Your insurance or hers? Probably means a claim from both so you both lose.

Try another company or buy her a cheap runabout to get some experience and her own no claims.

Dont forget that she is high risk and may lose you your no claims. Excess is usually higher and protected no claims may not apply when she is driving.
