This seems a very good offer. It seems to beat the Dell that was posted yesterday. Added bonus is that it comes with Vista Premium as well, instead of basic.
Only thing is it being a refurb, how does Compaq/PC World warranty match Dells?0 -

Just to say I have just managed to order one of these. I bookmarked the Currys and PC World links to it, and just checked and Curry's let me order! Now says out of stock again, but anyone who is interested I'd suggest doing what I did, obviously they have them now and again.
Another point, it didn't show on the Currys page for recon laptops, just the bookmark link worked. Also i got a £10 and free delivery code so got it for £269.99. Well chuffed. Will see if it arrives now!0 -

Yeah, I was just pointing out that is people want it and are prepared to wait then they could bookmark the link and check from time to time. Being reconditioned I guess stock is a case of "as and when" rathe than a continual supply, guess to just have to get lucky.0

Don't like to sound negative BUT I'm sure there was a thread a few months ago where people bought re-conditioned desktop machines from PCWorld.
The spec seemed a bargain for the price but (some?) people had loads of problems. PC not working on delivery etc..
Of course, since this is a laptop, these may be better.
However, if it was my money I'd go for the Dell (and then install XP on it!)0 -
