what are you using this with?
if its Virgin Media, I'd say take it off and dump it.
service T&C state that only the equipment provided by them can be used to obtain a signal from them.:: No Unauthorised Links in Signatures please - FM ::0 -
It sounds like it could be a tuner problem, however sometimes it can be as easy as a reflash. Head over to https://www.techno-source.co.uk they can provide you with help and support.0

You need a reflash with an autoupdating image.0

dont steal cable its evil! The orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.0

That's quite a thing to accuse someone of. While it's against VM's T&C to hook up any other equipment, therefore shouldn't be encouraged, using a DBOX can provide you with a very flexible and useable PVR.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

if youre going to record tv with it, chances are you know how the box works and are "techy" enough to be able to set up a home network...
if it isnt displaying the channels, chances are you dont really know how it does what it does, or you would probably know of better places to ask the question than in here... which implies they only have the box for one specific reason.

and enable you to steal cable - i expect the original poster is having issues to due to the keyroll changes VM have done lately.
i would still expect the FTA channels to work but ho hum

*sigh*, Of course, any sensible person would just get a DVB-T PVR for less than you would pay for a basic DBOX2 (never mind the IDE bus interface and a HDD). On freeview you actually get more channels unencrypted than Virgin. Frankly, the DBOX is crap, and the only reason you would use one is due to the added "benefits" you get from it.
Also, while its only "against VM's T&C" your still committing theft of services. While Virgin might just disconnect you the police may take it further.0
