When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big "stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending. :money:

All my decorating is done :j:j The carpet got fitted last night and I love it! We've moved the furniture around a bit so we now have more space even though there's more stuff in the room. I've even got a wee reading corner with the comfy chair and a bookcase :happyhear

Good morning everyone!
Today I have completed a survey on yougov, and will check onepoll later!
Im going to put a wash on and hang it outside, love the smell of clothes dried outside! Also going to not leave my laptop plugged into the charger all day, once its full will use it down until it needs charging again, maybe that will help a little?
Lunch at home again today, so save there!
Happy saving/not spending!

Hello all,
At work again today, earning not spending.
Have had breakfast at home, got a lift to work and have brought in a packed lunch (grabbed portion of soup out of freezer as got up late!).
Trying not to get too depressed about the motorbike fiasco. We have lost so much money. Hubbie says I need to let it go - nothing we can do about it but I am still feeling really annoyed , with myself as much as anything.
We will clear some of the food mountain at home later.
Did nothing last night as letters from bike insurance company and discussing our options dominated the evening.
To top it all off it's bl@@dy raining. Great.
Going to go and eat my soup.
Hope you are all having a better day than me x
OOh - just remembered I've got a lottery ticket to check - this could be the one!!0 -

alas today is a mixed bag for me, I had the chance for an extra wee shift at work which would have netted me an extra £80, but couldn't be bothered getting out bed. (I am on 3 weeks holiday after all) So the day could have started off better, however, Serviced my motorbike myself using tools/parts etc already in my garage which probably saved me around £80!... only way this day could have been better would have been had I worked then done the service on the bike
would have been quids in then!. aw well it's a lovely day and was worth it. 0 -
