first thing i received a letter from mbna about ppi and i could be in with a chance, all forms were completed and sent to mbna, received a knock back some 3 weeks later... i never continued with it until some six months later when i contacted a claim company..... hey ho guess what mbna made out as if they reviewed my ppi claim and decided to send me a settlement amount....... absolute conn if i hadn,t have contacted a claim company i would have had nothing....... so for all you people out there who has had a knock back these !!!...holes try everything in the book to get out of paying up...... not leaving it there i would have had niche if it was not for claim company so complaining to ombudsman about mbna....... keep at it no matter what

were you incapable of checking yourself? Or of forwarding your complaint to the FOS?
You just paid a company to do something you could have done yourself.

MBNA have been running a lot of reviews on past case decisions. A lot of this is being voluntarily but people who have gone back and queried a decision themselves have found their case reviewed and decision changed. The involvement of a claims company added nothing. It just needed a prompt from someone to get a review made.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
