step 4 ,no reply

ok its been 2 weeks (10 working days) since i sent the template letter threatening court action. and as yet no reply. what do i do next should i try to contact the bank or start the small claims proceedure. bearing in mind there has been a postal strike?

do the banks have to aknowledge reciept of this letter ??

o and can someone tell me the difference between an overdraft usage fee and an excess fee and can usage fee's be claimed back???

    No they dont have to acknowledge recepit of the letter, just go ahead and start your court claim.

    No idea the difference between those two fees you mentioned.

    tomcatvmp thats where im up to the 14 days was up on wed 11/07/07 for lloyds to reply back to me and up to now i havent heard anything i was wondering the same xlesleyann or anyone else who can help- should i send them another letter telling i am taking them to court or just go straight to the online claims??

    If you have already sent your letter before action (LBA) then wait no longer, file your claim :) If you haven't sent that yet then that's the next letter for you to send,

    sorry i think im getting myself a bit confused i sent them martins sample letter-the one saying with no satisfactory response (but not the one with the court name on it) and that i intend to take them to court if i dont get a response from them within 14 days.so the 14 days was up on wed gone just wondered what my next step is? or if any, the next letter to send?
