FYI that link is the 'most popular' competitions, namely the ones that have been thanked the most. Because the high-value prizes are entered/thanked the most they tend to be most popular too.

There is no actual way of sorting by prize value but this is the nearest way.

    Good luck :)
Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!

I have been here 18 month, and I knew nothing about this list

Are there any other lists I should know about?

I am keen to learn :rotfl:

Have a look at this thread. weeowens and Painkiller have done some work on sorting the board in certain ways. As said above, the most popular comps tend to be the high value prize ones (ITV, Shortlist, ones with iPads as prizes etc).

OK now for some stupid questions, (Sax will enjoy answering these ;) )

What does 1 day popularity/3 day popularity/1 week popularity ect mean?

If I had not used the link above to find these threads where on the board are they?

As I said above I can not believe in the 18 months I have been here that I have not seen this "popular" comps thread

I don't think it's so much a popular comps thread, as a different way of sorting the boards. The way it's sorted as default, is newest first - but you can change the layout so you see most popular first. They're not different comps, just shown in a different order.
Do you use the green tick / red cross function? If you do, you'll see that you haven't actually missed anything at all, you're just looking at it differently.

I think you are right cagsd, when I looked through the threads quite a few of them had ticks and crosses on them, as I am still 150 pages behind on the comps board (and working oldest to newest) it just looked as though there were loads of new comps, when really I am just miles behind.

At least I am not missing out on any comps, I am just slow to catch up :rotfl:

    Thanks for your help ;)

I think it means... Most popular posts viewed within the last day / most popular viewed within the last three days / most popular viewed within the last week...

Because if a thread was posted a week ago, it may not still be in the most popular views for the past 24 hours, but would likely still be in high on the most popular viewed threads weeklong list.

    This is correct.

    The last post in that thread has a couple of additional links that haven't been added to the main post;

1 Week Popularity - Most popular in the last week

All-time Popularity - Most popular on the main board
