Bought a car through local Vauxhall Dealer on GMAC finance. Didn't need PPI but it came as "part of the deal". Tried to reclaim but GMAC direct me to dealer as it was "sold" by them. Dealer directs me to GMAC as was paid to them and it appears on their statements. Going round in circles.....
Anyone advise how I can proceed?

The dealer sold you it, you complain to the dealer.

Dealer has liability for the sale of the product. The product provider does not unless the seller was an agent of theirs.
The issue is not about the product. it is about the failings in the sale of the product. Hence the seller is responsible.
As said above, if its before Jan 2005, then dealers were not regulated. If it was after Jan 2005 then the dealer is in breach of its regulatory requirements in dealing with your complaint and you could go straight to the ombudsman.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
