My full application has gone into today and has gone to the underwriters for referral.
2 questions is this normal and how long does it normally take?

I had a case with natwest around a week or 2 back, they were pretty quick I think it was about 3-4 working days.
All cases will go to the underwriters.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Is this normal for a DIP?
Thanks0 -
Im confused...
Are you saying your DIP referred but you still submitted a full application?
Why did the DIP refer?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Yeah my dip was referred but my mortgage broker said to go ahead with it
There was something on my credit file but I have had it back and there is nothing0 -
She said that any application I made would be referred because of this0

Rather than ask random questions on a forum where nobody knows your circumstances you would be better asking the broker.
Unsure why you would submit a full application without the DIP being accepted though. Have you paid the fees?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. the product doesn't have any fees.
Natwest have asked for date of employment from previous job as I have only been in current one for 3 months and my probation doesn't end until monday.
And for 1 months payslip from my current employer0 -
I must admit I do not think I would have submitted a full app if the DIP referred... unless I knew the reason for the refer and was confident it was more of a formality getting it accepted.
Your broker is the one to run this by.
To answer your question though, no its not normal (in my opinion). Did you broker charge a fee? If so was it chargeable on application?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. No the broker doesn't charge an upfront fee.
She has been quite vague with me and said that natwest would refer to underwriter on any application made.
I had a dip go through fine with HSBC but couldn't meet their criteria so didn't submit full app.
Only thing I am thinking is that I fell off the electoral roll for 2 months and maybe this is flagging up.0 -
Surely natwest wouldn't take a full app without a DIP anyway0
