Replacing lost TSB Card

I reported my debit card lost on Monday evening and was told it would take between 3 and 5 working days to be replaced. I'm due to go away this weekend - I wondered if anyone has experience of how quickly TSB send them out?

Is it realistically going to get to me by Friday or should I arrange a trip to a branch - which is now miles away thanks to them splitting with Lloyds!

Thanks.

    Finger's crossed then!
  • What exactly are you hoping to achieve by visiting a branch?

in cases like this you should open a savings account that has a card. That way you will always have access to money.

Assumedly to withdraw some cash for the weekend away because they definitely won't be able to speed up the arrival of the card.

Yes exactly, or any other alternative means of payment.

Like another current account because then you can just transfer the money quickly online.

    Or even a credit card.
  • Did you get the replacement card?

I opened and was approved for a LLoyd's (not TSB) Credit Card Duo, on Sunday, and opened a Club LLoyd's account on Monday evening, and haven't received any PINS or Cards (although received welcome e-mail's), and they quote 7 working days - although I'm hoping something will come thru on Friday.

    Regardless, hope this goes well.
Thank you all for helping me make my day by saving money!
  • I would always 100% recommend having at least one other current account and set up a payment between bothbefore it's an emergency so that if one banks system goes tits up (sadly becoming more common than most realise) you have an alternative

A few banks in the UK have card issuing machines in some of their branches. I know the main Barclays branch in Glasgow is able to issue new cards in branch. Perhaps the OP was hoping TSB would have this facility, but unfortunately I don't believe they do.

I've only heard of Barclays and Metro bank doing this. As far as I know they are the only banks offering the facility.
