The manufacturer would have them all stacked on a palet and wrapped, not an individual monitor. The box it comes in wouldn't be classed as an outer box, to send an individual monitor it would need the original box plus a sturdy outer box to take any impact. It should also be marked as fragile.

Ok I accept that there maybe should have been 2 boxes.

Do you think marking as fragile makes a difference? I think it just makes that box a target

How is it not sufficient packaging? It's the same package it got delivered to me in, direct from the manufacturer!

Again, I sent in the same packaging that the manufacturer sent it to me in. Also, in my experience marking something as fragile just ensures they throw it around even more.

It probably would have, but ParcelForce is literally right over the road so I figured it would be easiest.... live and learn I guess - certainly won't use them again!

I agree with you re the packaging, but dont think you are entitled to a refund.

parcelforce are a courier and they are all much the same

Which is the manufacturers risk to take.
They will likely have no cover on their items either. so part of the price you paid has a % to cover loss/damage in transit.
    you didnt have that.
