Hi all, I recently went overdrawn by just 58p. I have received a letter stating that I am going to be charged £25 for using the unplanned borrowing facility. Is there any way I can challenge this as 25 pound for 58p is excessive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks Anne

The banks won the court case on that and will no longer consider complaints about unfair or excessive bank charges (nor will the ombudsman).Any advice would be greatly appreciated
if its your first mistake, most banks will waive the charges as a goodwill gesture if you ask them nicely. If its a repeat offence then they are less likely to.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
