No-one was wearing head gear other than the graduates at the last graduation ceremony I went to.

It's not a wedding - just go smart and and enjoy and be proud.

    Hi OP,

Not sure why you would wear a hat or fascinator to a graduation ceremony. Never seen anyone wear one in the 7 that I have attended as a guest and the one I had with my undergraduate which was huge.

    Avoid is my advice.

I think it depends on the uni and the location of the graduation.
Some cathedrals etc are quite grand and a hat wouldn't look out of place -others not so much.
Whatever you decide -if you do go for a hat don't choose anything that will block the view of the equally proud parents sitting behind you :)

I'm not wearing anything on my head, but if I was I would be very considerate to others around me :) if when I get their women are wearing hats I'll just roll my eyes and blame all of you on here lol

Smart but no hat/headgear. Not seen one at any of the unis I have worked or studied at.
