NPower misconduct?

Have you been checking the bills (however random) to see if they corresponded with the meter readings and made sure they were corrected if they didn't. If your DD's haven't been collected then you should have been putting the money aside for when they actually got round to collecting it.
nPower isn't the best company to deal with but I'm sure you could have saved yourself a lot of aggro if you'd put a bit of effort in to help sort it out - not the least by saving the money from the uncollected DD's ready for when a bill did come in and reading the meters yourself and giving the readings to nPower.
It's not actually misconduct it's incompetence on their part and lack of action on yours by accepting estimated bills and not doing anything about it - a draw I think
For your info.... you are obviously not a NPower customer.....
NPower only issued a bill once a year when they reviewed all the readings... So it doesn't mater that I sent readings every 1-2 mths..... This may have changed within the last few mths but we are talking about last year.
I have been sending a meter reading every 1 or 2 mths. NPower have publically announced they were out of control and last yr they had no idea what was going on with payments. They were almost top of the customer dissatisfaction charts!
If you read my post fully, the failed payments were completely NPowers fault on several counts, and I received £25 compensation for the time spent waiting to speak to advisors etc.
The failed payments of £160 for about 5 mths built up a large sum, and I pushed them to set up a payment plan rather than pay it all off in one go which I could afford. This was because I felt after all the stress of trying to sort out the problems with their system it was fair to me the customer.
Now.... That unpaid sum was based on estimates, and it was put into a payment plan I.e. "Ring fenced"..... It turns out those payments were poor estimates.... So ... The sum if left as debt on the account and not ring fenced it would have been adjusted for the actual use of energy...
So the £800 due was probably more like £500.... but because the £800 was moved into the payment plan it was not corrected along with the rest of my transactions with NPower.Peace.0
