Sorry folks, I must have been half asleep. My post is about something completely different. I was trying to highlight the difference between peak and off peak on E7.

Looking at my post, even I don't know what I was talking about!

I think I meant E7 peak 18.03p / E7 off-peak 6.83p and the difference being 11p. This is the premium I was talking about. Sometimes E7 pays, sometimes not.

    Sorry for all the confusion!

Prices have also gone up a little since then, that's why you can't find them.

Use a comparison site, it's the best way to find the cheapest deal.

Looking back through the thread, it was Bubblebath that threw me off course.

    I posted:

Do you have electric heating and hot water?
If not, are you sure that E7 is working well for you?

Remember that E7 carries a premium for day usage, usually about 5p extra per unit of electricity.
To which Bubblebath claimed I was 100% wrong (which I wasn't) and went on to compare something completely unrelated:

Based on my limited, random survey, you appear to be about 100% wrong there ;)

Here are the unit prices of M&S electricity based on standard tariff, pay monthly by DD and paperless billing

    East Midlands
    E7 - 16.07p / non-E7 - 13.47p ; difference: 2.60p

    West Midlands
    E7 - 16.55p / non-E7 - 13.82p ; difference: 2.73p

    Eastern
    E7 - 16.02p / non-E7 - 13.47p ; difference: 2.55p

    E7 vs Non E7?

The point of comparing these, who knows?

I then made the mistake of copying part of Bubblebath's post (for speed) and confused the situation further.

    My point?

Bubblebath is the one who was 100% wrong, as E7 does carry a premium for day rate usage. No doubt about it.
