ESA - still waiting

I returned my ESA form back to ATOS, Wembley, London on the 24th January 2014 and have received nothing back from them. I have been in touch with Jobcentre Plus who told me the forms are still with ATOS. I have now phoned them four times and every time I have been told they are still with the doctor who has a very long backlog of forms to go through.

I have sent some more doctors/specialists letters to the Jobcentre - I don't know what else I can do. I have been on it before but that got stopped after the year was up and my medical condition has not changed.

Any advice on what I can do?

You can wait for the decision whether you need a face to face assessment - there isn't anything to my knowledge that can speed it up.

Unfortunately, it is quite commonplace for this to happen.

As Dom says, the system is very backlogged and there doesn't seem to be anything the claimant can do to speed this up. If your condition has changed then you should notify both ATOS and DWP of this.
