Cant watch Channel 4 On Demand because of Ad Blocker.

To try and rectify the problem I've removed the adblocker extension from Google Chrome and have done a system clean with CCleaner but I still cant view Channel 4OD programmes. If I try I get "Adblocker Software Alert" on the screen.
Any ideas please how to sort it out.

Try Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+R to force a refresh.
    Try clearing the browser cache.

It's the same on Firefox and IE as well as Chrome.

You probably have an ad blocker installed, like adblockplus. You can whitelist individual sites (ie *.channel4.com), restart and carry on watching. With ads. Which pay for the streaming and content.

I can confirm the site works fine with chrome once my own adblocking extensions have been set to whiltelist https://www.channel4.com The reason I suggested a different browser was because the chances are only the one used will have been set up with adblockers and is the easiest way round the problem for non-technical folk which anybody asking this question probably is.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but if you run "firefox.exe -P", Firefox will start with the profile manager.

You can then create a new profile (which, by default, will have no add-ons installed). If using the new profile works, then either one (or more) of your add-ons is causing a problem, or your profile has become corrupted.

If necessary, you can migrate bookmarks, passwords & cookies from one profile to another. There are instructions on the Mozilla website.

P.S. Usually you need to close Firefox to start with a new profile, but so long as you have one instance open using the default profile, you can start subsequent instances using "firefox.exe -P -no-remote".

Thanks for all the replies. I've got round the problem by running Google Chrome in Sandboxie mode.
