What a bargain as these maps alone are worth more.

I secured 2 at a local store who have already phoned to say they only have one.
Have expressed my "disgust" at stock control and they have indicated they will probably substitute when i show up on Saturday :beer:

I am in Scotland and there is still 1 in elgin.

2 in London, 1 in Oldbury (Birmingham), 2 in Bristol, 1 in Bolton, 3 in Cardif, 1 in Blackwood while I was fishing

Now non in Bolton area.
Halfrauds have done this many times before, its a wild goose chase that p'sses people off.

Granted there will be very few available but at least I have sourced some.
Their sourcing system is a lot easier to manouvre than Argos etc.
I will report back on Saturday on how I get on with the store that I reserved 2 at who have called confirming only 1 in stock.
I realise the T&Cs are subject to availability and no contract has been made.
However the manager did indicate he would "do something for me".

Just reserved one online at Stevenage Halfsods,only to get a phone call from the store a few minutes later to say the one I reserved turned out to be faulty.However if I pop in to the store they will give me a 10% discount off any Satnav I choose !

I made two reservations, neither of which were honoured.

I bet there are some very happy Halfords staff today.

Just to update I got the call as detailed above from store A in Scotland letting me know only 1 in stock from the 2 I reserved.
As I don't expect them to really supply a substitute or find another one I moved on.
Reserved another 2 from store B in Scotland. Now I assume that as you can pick up after an hour they phone you with the bad news promptly. Thus far no bad news call from store B after a number of hours.
I have also just reserved the unit I highlighted in Elgin as none of you guys seem to want it. Currently being picked so I will let you know if any Bad news.
I have homes for them all if I get them
Anyone else with good news ?

One store rang me with bad news about 4 hours after I reserved. The other rang within 30 minutes.

I'd maybe ring them to confirm if you're making a special journey

Lo and behold store B has just called. Rather illuminating and frankly I do believe them. basically they apologised for not calling earlier but said they have been hunting for said units all afternoon. This model is not current to them so has been consigned to the cupboards. anyway he has found both units. one fully boxed and a okay. the second he suspects was the demo model and he can only find the unit and a couple of the accessories. I have offered to take it anyway (at a lower price) as it will probably still be easy to accessorise and the model number etc should ensure the lifetime maps is okay. Waiting for a call back to see if they will sell and at what price.
Summary 5 reserved. 2 confirmed. 1 lost may cut a deal. 1 no box etc may sell. 1 to be confirmed.
