The trouble with Dell is that you have to pay extra for back up media - they don't even provide a restore partition
At least Novatech doesn't even try to hide this - you pay for an OS FULL STOP.

No I am not joking - we have around 250 Dells at work and not a single Dell back up media - we rebuild them over the network using MS media

You don't need to buy Back Up media for a single machine. You can create your own. Either way, your comment is strange, as even if we were talking about Windows 7, you can download the Windows 7 image for free.
Comparing that with spending £80 for an OS with Novatech is ludicrous.
Does my system come with backup media?

Dell Outlet systems do not come with any backup media. Systems with a Windows 7 operating system come with Dell software that will enable you to create your own backup media on to a DVD or USB key. In addition, the software has the ability to take your system back to the way it was when it was shipped from the Dell Outlet factory, with the option to preserve files and folders during the emergency recovery process. Dell Outlet recommends on receipt of your system that you create backup media for any future recovery requirements.
