Primrose is much better thn Blue Dolphin and has two swimming pools, the main one is brilliant for little ones. There is a fair in primrose and lots more activities and entertainment on the night. Blue Dolphin is very run down now and needs updating.
Flamingoland is also great for kids and there is lots of little rides and soft play too and a little water fountain play area too. The animals are great as well. Not too far from flamingoland is also 'Hearbeat' county where the show was set...in Goathland. That's free to walk around the area.
Bridlington and Filey is also nice and not too far from Primrose Valley.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Primrose valley is very nice, but its vast and gets extremely busy, you struggle to keep an eye on your kids at the evening entertainment if you cant sit near the stage , might be ok with older kiddies who have good navigation skills :)

Booked a sun holiday at Primrose for end of April next year. Have 2 kids who'll be 4 & 2 then. Not too interested in evening entertainment. But i assume there'll be plenty there for them to do in the day? Swimming obviously, but what else is there and what is/isn't included in the entertainment pass? Fairground rides? Softplay? anything else suitable for young uns?

    Thanks

They've got some sort of funfair thing, my kids were too young for it.

The big pool is really good, my kids (both under 2) enjoyed it a lot. They've also got another pool more suited to swimming. They've got a nice play park as well with slides etc.

They have activities on during the day for the kids, they're included in the pass, but you've got to pay extra for some stuff, like bikes and stuff like that and the fair ground thing/laser quest stuff.

It's expensive to eat out on site too, so take some food!
