329 credit score + £20,000 debt but just inherited a lot of money. Help please!

    Very unlikely you will get defaults removed from your file.

    For debts with debt collectors you will probably find they will accept reduced sums in full & final settlement.
    However they will likely show on your credit that you partially settled the defaults. These would then remain visible for 6years from the date of each default.

    With defaults on file it will be difficult to get a mortgage. So realistically you would likely be wanting to wait until 6years after your last default. And if you do this then the fact that they were partially settled shouldnt make a huge difference (as that will no longer be visible to lenders either).
